Meet the team

John Schofield is joint managing director of John Schofield Tennis Centre Ltd and is the director of the coaching programme.

John has been an LTA Level 2 coach for many years and has produced many top National standard players and numerous County champions at all age groups. John now primarily runs the programmes from mini-tennis through to improver and advanced player groups.

Mark Schofield is one of the few Performance Coaches in the country and is repsonsible for squad training of tournament standard players many of whom are County and National standard players. Mark has a wealth of playing experience having won Nationals as a junior and representing Great Britain on three continents.

Mark played many well known players as a teenager, the most famous being Borg and Edberg, and enjoyed wins against Tim Henman. Although coaching for 12 years now, he still enjoys wins over many current and recent British top ten players. Mark has been Lancashire mens singles champion on eight occasions and Lancashire mens doubles champion on eight occasions.

Jamie Hutchings is a highly experienced and popular LTA Level 2 coach. He is Blackburn Northern mens team captain and a County standard player. Jamie is also responsible for squad training and works across the whole spectrum of courses.

Roy Whitehouse is an LTA Level 1 coach and a very experienced player having played County tennis for many years. Roy currently captains the Lancashire mens veterans team. He is well known for his pleasant personality and is very popular with pupils.
